Overview
To assist the Registrar to supervise and coordinate the activities of the Division in the Judicial Processes and Case Management of Appeals.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Verify new appeal applications and other processes for compliance with the Rules and Practice Direction.
Produce Statutory Reports of pending cases on appeal and cases yet to be assigned.
Liaise with Registrar for constitution of Panel of Judges, Judge Rapporteur and fixing of Hearing date.
Maintain Case correspondence and exhibit.
Liaise with Lawyers to ensure hitch free Court Session.
Prepare orders and notices and serve on concerned parties.
Keeps Judgement Registers, Maintain Case files and keep them in proper order.
Submit Judgments and Rulings to be posted on the website of the Court.
Keeps custody of Judgments, Rulings and Orders of the Court.
In charge of Court materials i.e. Rules of the Court, Protocols.
Assist in the preparation of Mid-year/ Annual Report of the Registry.
Submit Statutory Reports of Status of Pending Cases and Cases yet to be assigned.
To prepare are summaries of new application lodged.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education
A minimum of Bachelor Degree in Law.
Possession of higher Degree in Law (master’s degree in law) would be an advantage.
Experience
Three (3) years relevant professional experience in a court of law, including two (2) years relevant international experience.
Conversant in Court processes or Court Registry functioning
